Sofie fra Plan Future har snakket med Maurice som abejder for Plan i Bondo.
Han tager blandt andet rundt og besøger skoler som er støttet af Plan og fadderbørn.
Så her er lidt nyheder om Mumbo og Bondo generelt!
Han fortalte kort om Mumbo:
You wanted to know about the kids at Mumbo; they are fine and struggling with their environmental club and studies. I am thinking of linking them with other agencies and school clubs doing similar things to give them additional exposure. They still appreciate the assistance you managed to get for their school and look forward to another visit from you in future. I have managed to influence my wife to initiate a similar club in the school where she teaches.
Og generelt om situationen i Bondo:
Denmark and the rest of Europe I am told is very cold-with snow everywhere. The case is very different in Bondo and most of Kenya-it is dry,hot and people have to walk long distances to get water. Families also have very little food for survival because what was harvested in July and August is almost over. Actually, Xmas to most households in the village made very little sense- they had nothing to celebrate!
Sørgeligt nok har situationen ikke ændret sig meget siden Sofies besøg for et år siden.
