“We are becoming increasingly concerned about the safety and health of children and their families in flood affected areas. We are hearing reports that a large number of people are still stranded in Badin’s remote coastal villages, with no way of moving to safer areas. Our experience of responding to the mammoth floods last year has helped us to respond quickly to the needs of those displaced and affected by floods. However, we are all worried that we will see a repeat of last year’s devastation just as some communities were beginning to return to normal,” siger Haider Yaqub, Plan’s country director i Pakistan, på vej til området.
